I wanted to try the famous Gotham Bagels while I was in Chicago, and luckily this location was within walking distance of my hostel. There was a short line when I arrived, but it moved pretty quickly. I ordered a jalapeΓ±o bagel with cream cheese along with a latte. The bagel was absolutely delicious, and the latte was great too. My only small disappointment was that they donβt offer βfor hereβ cups, even if youβre staying to enjoy your coffee. Inside, thereβs only a small amount of seating with a few high-top tables, making it a decent spot to study or get some work done if you can grab one. They also have a larger outdoor patio along the sidewalk, which looked like a great place to sit on a nice day.

Itβs a cute small little shop. The workers were kind. Their matcha is good, a basic matcha latte , not sweet!! I liked it. The bagel was delicious . They give you a pickle and hot sauce with your bagel order. I am picky about hot sauces but I actually really liked the hot sauce !! I took my food to go , and ate in millennium park. Itβs not far. I would recommend this place to my friends.

The young man and lady who helped me with the avocado plain bagel did an amazing job of understanding what I needed. Also the food is fresh and feels great to eat overall. The vibe is comfortable regarding volume and music taste. Classical progressive and a heightened sense of how they would overall execute a bagel restaurant. The employees seem very nice and laid back but also busy and very much so happy to be here. 5 stars.

I visited this bakery on 2 of the 4 days I stayed in Chicago. On my first visit, I ordered an everything bagel with vegetable cream cheese and enjoyed a perfect breakfast at Millennium Park. The bagel had a crisp exterior and a chewy interior β exactly the kind of NY-style bagel I love. I was so impressed that I came back the next day to buy some bagels as souvenirs for my family in Japan. A few of the bagels I ordered took longer than expected, and because I had another schedule afterward, I had to change some of my choices. That was a little disappointing, but the staff handled the situation professionally and honestly, which I really appreciated. Overall, this bakery became one of my memorable experiences in Chicago, and Iβm glad I found it during my trip.
